At C&M Fire Alarms, we understand the importance of being fully regulated and in line with accredited third parties and suppliers. We’re delighted to confirm that we hold the following accreditations:
BAFE Modular Scheme SP203-1
BAFE (British Approvals for Fire Equipment) registered schemes recognise the importance of compliant fire detection and alarm systems and C&M Fire Alarms are pleased to be accredited to the independent certification business for the fire protection industry. Being a part of BAFE allows our team to take part in rigorous training and education programmes that cover a spectrum of services including system design, installation and safe maintenance. Founded in 1984, BAFE is a voluntary registration scheme but allows our experts to stay on top of industry progressions and safety updates. What’s more, many business insurers specify that company’s must use a BAFE approved supplier for their fire alarm and detection services; a box that C&M Fire Alarms can certainly tick.
We work closely with RISQS (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) for our larger railway clients with the scheme being the single entry point for rail industry suppliers such as ourselves. We have extensive experience at designing, installing and maintaining fire detection products for many large railway stations across the UK, including London Victoria station, and therefore our relationship and accreditation with RISQS is of huge significance. Our accreditation means we’re a recognised railway supplier and are held with high esteem within the industry.
With a role of supporting contractors in the building services sector, we’re delighted to be accredited with the UK’s leading voluntary body for the electrical contracting industry. Founded in the 1950’s, NICEIC are dedicated to assessing electrical competence with over 26,000 contractors on their books. Our accreditation means our team of experts can stay abreast of any electrical industry changes and updates, plus we’re entitled to professional training, technical advice and information on the changing nature of the industry. NICEIC’s Approved Contractor scheme is a pinnacle of excellence in the UK and allows electrical contractors, such as C&M Fire Alarms, to be assessed and approved for a range of electrical services, including fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
Having been a member for a number of years, C&M Fire Alarms are accredited to Alcumus SafeContractor, one of the UK’s fastest growing health and safety assessment schemes. Part of the prestigious Alcumus Group, SafeContractor has a fantastic bank of specialist knowledge for health and safety professionals, meaning our team of engineers can remain up-to-date with the industry. We’re regularly audited by SafeContractor to ensure our experts are following all guidelines and protocols and we’re also offered regular in-depth training on how to ensure health and safety is at the forefront of all we do. Our accreditation with SafeContractor means C&M Fire Alarms are one of the top fire alarm and detection services in the South to trust when it comes to health and safety during our design, installation and maintenance programmes.
The Fire Industry Association (FIA) shapes legislation surrounding fire industry standards and is the largest fire protection trade association in the UK. The not-for-profit organisation is a major provider of training and our accreditation means C&M Fire Alarms have access to their rigorous training and education programmes. The FIA’s main objective is to promote and perfect fire protection methods, devices and services and the corporation achieves this through their technical support programme, training schemes and expert guidance; all of which our raft of C&M Fire Alarms engineers take advantage of on a regular basis. We’re very proud to be members of the FIA and a part of their continuing efforts to better the knowledge of the fire industry in safe standards and training.
