Training and educating mean a lot to us at C&M Fire Alarms

It’s been a busy year for C&M Fire Alarms, not only has business been busy and tough throughout the pandemic, the business has celebrated its 50th year of trading and continues to grow. Growth not only in new team members and engineers joining but additional growth in training, knowledge base and education that drives continuous improvement to our services and the processes of the industry and business.

Accreditation’s and Certifications

Back in December 2020, C&M Fire Alarms achieved UKAS accredited ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) Standard Certification following its stage 2 audit. This accreditation means the company is even better equipped to manage risk and have a QMS in place to ensure consistency and improvement. C&M received ISO 9001:2015 from third-party certification body Advanced Certification, having worked with external management consultant Courtney Franklin, director at Franklin Lawson Associates Ltd., to achieve conformity.
During this summer C&M passed and were recognised as a SafeContractor, a scheme that major organisations recognise as confirmation of competency in health and safety practice. These, in addition to passing BAFE assessments, show C&M’s commitment to upholding safety standards along with improving upon them. There is also peace of mind for anyone using C&M Fire Alarms, knowing that a BAFE approved supplier brings a high level of excellence and expertise.

Training and Learning

We are incredibly proud of all our engineers, especially for the continuous training they take part in as a Fire Alarm Engineer with C&M. Recently our team members have passed; Site Management Safety Training Scheme for the Construction and Civil Engineering Industries and an Emergency First Aid at Work course with St Johns Ambulance. Both these certificates in addition to ongoing professional training from our industry bodies the FIA, and RISQS ensure our team of Fire Alarm engineers can work in safety-critical roles and are busy and proactive.
