C&M Fire Alarms precautions and safeguarding

Current procedures and advice as of 17.03.2020, updated 07.04.2020.

C&M response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

At C&M Fire Alarms we are taking recent events very seriously and have plans and preparations in place to help both customers and staff.

We are adopting Health & Safety measures for all our engineers and staff working on-site.

Some installation work will be postponed, however much of our work is safety-critical. We are aiming for the majority of our work which is scheduled, to take place as normal

C&M Fire Alarms install and service alarms for much of the high risk and vulnerable sectors including Schools, Nurseries, Care Home and Nursing Homes in Sussex, Surrey and surrounding areas.

Site Activity

As a precaution and for safeguarding our staff are:

  • Wearing disposable gloves when visiting and interacting with property
  • Maintaining a safe distance when interacting with customers
  • Establishing clean routines to complete works
  • Using antibacterial hand wash, which all engineers carry, when necessary
  • Using soap and water at the end of a visit or call-out
  • Customers are not required to sign our Job Sheets. We will take client details and add C-19 as a reference.

These procedures are being reviewed daily and this is, currently, our best view. C&M Fire Alarms care very much about the health, safety and welfare of all our staff, employees and in effect carry this onto our large client base. C&M Fire Alarms are covering all of Sussex, Surrey, London, Berkshire, Essex, Norfolk, Hertfordshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Kent from our main office in Horsham, West Sussex.
